There will be occasions when the school needs to conduct minor works, whether it is simple maintenance or structural alterations.  The law clearly demands that that you only employ a contractor who is competent to carry out this work.  H&S Consultants UK (Ltd) can source contractors for you ensuring that they are not only competent but also meet CRB requirements.  This will save you the time spent on searching for your contractor, but will also provide peace of mind that the contractor meets your legal obligations.

Should the works require a degree of health and safety management H&S Consultants (UK) Ltd can act as liaison with your contractor, as well as carry out the function of a CDM Co-ordinator if necessary.  We will take care of duties such as safety inductions, the co-ordination of safe procedures and systems of work, as well as the vetting of Method Statements from your contractor.  This will ensure that the school can go about its business, knowing that competent contractors are carrying out their work in a safe manner whilst on your premises.
